Janey Bishoff

Janey Bishoff is a communications leader who is passionate about helping leaders grow and protect their organizations. 

 
The founder of two successful communications agencies and a thriving consulting practice, she has helped many client organizations, both non-profit and for-profit, position or re-position for growth, transition, or exit. 


She has worked with more than 50 non-profit organizations throughout her career and has served on boards of a variety of non-profits including advocacy, civic, health and human service organizations.


An expert in crisis management and planning, Janey guides companies in developing comprehensive risk management plans and responding to a wide range of crises and negative situations.


Janey holds a Masters Degree in Urban Policy & Planning from MIT and is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Boston University.  In 2000, she was elected to the Collegium of Distinguished Alumni of the College of Arts and Sciences at Boston University. 

Brent Carney

Brent Carney is a senior communications leader who brings years of experience in media, politics, and communications for non-profit organizations and business to the firm. 
 
His wide-ranging experience includes his years in TV news at New England Cable News where he served in various roles including news producer and editor, and a career in political communications. 


Brent served as Massachusetts Senator Edward M. Kennedy’s Deputy Press Secretary and Legislative Aide, helped New Hampshire Senator Jeanne Shaheen, former New Hampshire Governor, establish her new U.S. Senate and home-state offices, and managed her New Hampshire communications office as both Press Secretary and Senior Advisor on various state and legislative issues.


His extensive work with non-profit organizations includes an in-house position working for Caroline Kennedy at the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation, where he served as the Director of Communications and spokesperson for the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum, and consulting to numerous trade, advocacy, and charitable organizations.
Brent Chairs the Energy Committee in his hometown of Townsend, MA where he lives with his wife Carla and daughter Naomi. 


Brent holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from Fitchburg State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Syracuse University.
